About the Smurfs
Created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo in 1958, the Smurfs are small blue human-like creatures who first appeared in the comic Johan et Pirlouit before earning their own stories. Living in hollowed-out mushrooms deep in a magical forest, the Smurfs are guided by the wise Papa Smurf and protected by powerful spells that keep the villainous Gargamel at bay.
