This Hong Kong Privacy Notice (“Hong Kong Notice”) supplements the information contained in the Goodnotes Privacy Policy and applies to residents of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“Hong Kong”). This Hong Kong Notice is meant to cover the requirements under Cap. 486 Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the “PDPO”) and other applicable laws and regulations in Hong Kong.
When we use the term “personal data” in this Hong Kong Notice, we are referring to information that information which relates to a living individual and can be used to identify that individual, such as your real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers. It must also exist in a form which access to or processing of is practicable. Personal data does not include de-identified data or publicly available information.
This Hong Kong Notice strictly complies with the six Data Protection Principles outlined in the PDPO. We ensure lawful and fair collection of personal data, obtaining it only for legitimate purposes with transparency. Data accuracy and retention are maintained, with information kept no longer than necessary for the intended use. We uphold purpose limitation, using data only for the specified objectives at the time of collection. Robust security measures safeguard against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our practices emphasize openness, providing clear policies on data handling and enabling individuals to access and correct their personal information as mandated.
