Goodnotes Beta Community Guidelines

Introduction

These Goodnotes Beta Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) constitute a binding agreement between Goodnotes Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of United Kingdom with its registered address at 1 Bartholomew Lane London United Kingdom EC2N 2AX and its Affiliates (“Goodnotes”), and you, the individual accessing or participating in any community platform, forum, workspace, or similar environment provided by Goodnotes, including but not limited to the Goodnotes Beta Community Slack workspace (collectively referred to as the “Goodnotes Community”). The Goodnotes Community is intended to support beta testing, feedback collection, and collaborative engagement between Goodnotes and its users.

THESE GUIDELINES GOVERN ALL ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE GOODNOTES COMMUNITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC CHANNELS, PRIVATE MESSAGES, THREADS, AND THE USE OF THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS. BY ACCESSING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE GOODNOTES COMMUNITY, YOU AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES.

  1. 1. Purpose

    The Goodnotes Community serves as a dedicated forum for collaboration between beta testers and the Goodnotes team. Its primary objectives are to support structured testing activities, gather meaningful and actionable feedback, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment in alignment with Goodnotes’ core values: respect, privacy, integrity, and innovation. Please note that this space is not intended for reporting technical issues. To ensure accurate assessment and timely resolution, all issues should be submitted through the in-application reporting feature, where they can be reviewed with the full technical context by the appropriate teams.
  2. 2. Community Participation

    Your engagement plays a vital role in shaping the future of Goodnotes. As a valued member of our Goodnotes Community, you’re encouraged to:

  3. 3. Code of Conduct

    Your engagement plays a vital role in shaping the future of Goodnotes. As a valued member of our Goodnotes Participation in the Goodnotes Community is governed by this Guidelines, designed to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and constructive environment. In addition to the standards outlined below, You are required to comply with Slack User Terms of Service, Slack Acceptable Use Policy, and Slack Community Code of Conduct, which govern all interactions within the Slack platform hosting the Goodnotes Community.

    Respectful Communication
    You must engage professionally and courteously at all times. Behaviors, including but not limited to harassment, illegal activities, abuse, hate speech, discriminatory language, personal attacks, defamation, threats, misuse of the Slack platform, or any form of disrespectful conduct, are strictly forbidden and may result in the immediate removal, suspension, or termination of access from the Goodnotes Community.

    Channel and Content Etiquette
    To foster clarity and relevant discussions, You should:
    1. Post only in channels appropriate to the topic
    2. Keep messages relevant, clear, and concise
    3. Use threads to respond or expand conversations, preserving channel readability
    4. Avoid spamming, unsolicited promotions, or off-topic posts
  4. 4. Confidentiality

    All information shared within the Goodnotes Community—including but not limited to product features, documentation, designs, mockups, bugs, feedback, screenshots, and internal discussions — is confidential and proprietary to Goodnotes.You must not disclose, publish, distribute, or reproduce any community-related content outside this workspace without written consent from Goodnotes. This obligation remains in effect after your participation ends. Breaches will result in immediate removal and may trigger legal action.
  5. 5. Feedback Ownership

    By submitting feedback, ideas, or suggestions—whether via messages, conversations, usage data, or bug reports—you grant Goodnotes a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, adapt, and commercialize that feedback. This includes the right to incorporate your suggestions into future products or services without compensation or further notice.
  6. 6. Data Collection During Beta Period

    Goodnotes collects data during beta testing to improve the product and user experience. This data includes usage analytics, feedback, technical diagnostics, and feature suggestions, all handled in accordance with the Goodnotes supplementary privacy policy  and Goodnotes Privacy Policy.
  7. 7. Moderation and Enforcement

    In the Goodnotes Community, all words and actions have repercussions, and any conduct considered inappropriate will not be permitted. Should you encounter or observe any breaches of these Guidelines, we urge you to report them privately without delay to your community moderators at inapp_feedback_beta.
    Upon receiving a report, the moderators may take suitable actions, including warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Goodnotes Community.
  8. 8. Amendments and Supplemental Terms
